Sasha Banks Cleared For WWE Return

The Wrestling Observer notes that Sasha Banks, who has been out of action since suffering a concussion on May 15, has been cleared to return to the ring.

She will be working this weekend's shows in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and La Crosse, Wisconsin, though there is no word yet on when she will be returning to television.

Banks was injured in Charlottesville, Virginia, when she teamed with Paige and Becky Lynch to defeat Dana Brooke, Eva Maria, and Lana. During the course of the match, the referee accidentally hit her in the head with his knee, causing what was described as a significant concussion and taking her out of action.

Even prior to the injury, Banks had been absent from TV for weeks. Her last on-air appearance came in an eight-woman tag team match on the April 18 Raw. According to the Observer, the reason for her being kept off of TV was storyline related - namely, the company wanted to take emphasis off her prior to having her return with a big push later in the summer.

Banks's last major program was a three-way feud with Charlotte and Becky Lynch that culminated in a triple threat Women's Title match at WrestleMania. Many expected Banks to win, but Charlotte picked up the victory.

The Observer mentions that there were originally plans for Banks to play a role at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, though whether the company will stick to that idea is anyone's guess.
