10 Best Neckbreaker Variations In Pro Wrestling 4. The Gory Neckbreaker/Widow’s Peak

Victoria/Tara has one of the most unique finishing moves in wrestling history. Unlike most neck breakers, which tend to be done from a standing position where both user and victim are at the same height off the mat, this variation sees the user lift their opponent onto their shoulders/back in a Gory special hold, before grabbing their head and driving the victim’s neck into either their shoulder or into the back of their head.
This move stands out because it makes better use of an important element: gravity. The simplicity of this move allows the user to just let gravity take effect, and by sitting down or by kneeling, the victim’s neck is driven into the user’s shoulder with such force that many times, the victim appears to ‘bounce’ off of the user’s shoulder. That tends to get a huge reaction from the crowd, who buy into the illusion of the move being much stronger than it really is.
