10 Best Neckbreaker Variations In Pro Wrestling 3. Pumphandle Neckbreaker To Knee (Steen Breaker)

.

Kevin Steen/Owens has made a career out of using some very impressive wrestling moves. While on the independent circuit, his go-to finisher was the Package Pile driver, one of the most dangerous moves in all of wresting. He also used the F-5 for a short period
But one of the few signature moves he was able to bring over to WWE is his Steen Breaker, a Pump Handle neck breaker involving driving his opponent’s neck into his knee. Like the fireman’s carry variation seen earlier, this move looks far more devastating than a standard neck breaker because of the addition of the user’s knee as part of the move.
In many regular neck breakers, the victim’s head is protected from actual harm, or they take most of the damage on another part of their body without their head and neck receiving any actual damage. Not so with the Steen Breaker, as Owens and others who use this move create the illusion that their opponents’ heads are actually bounding off the user’s knee.
Owens executes this move with a sense of dominance and power, which is seen not only by the elevation he gets when he lifts his opponent, but also by just how much they bounce off his knee, which makes it seem like they’re actually taking all of the damage on their necks.
