FIFA 16: 3. Manager Celebrations

Bobby Robson famously danced like your Dad in the dug-out after David Platt’s dramatic winner for England against Belgium at Italia 90 and in 2004 Jose Mourinho made at least one new name for himself by galloping down the touchline after his Porto team effectively knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League.
Yet manager celebrations have been missing from FIFA since the franchise began.

Rather than have them lurk at the bottom of the screen as a pointless stick figure who does nothing more than dodge the occasional stray pass, players want the opportunity to send their coach running toward his players at the full-time whistle or have him kicking a water bottle as his star striker smashes home a stunning overhead volley.
It doesn’t matter that Manuel Pellegrini has never Moonwalked on the halfway line and Rafa Benitez hasn’t performed The Worm after his side take the lead… But that doesn’t mean they couldn’t.
Every new edition offers a range of extravagant limb-waving, muscle-flexing celebrations that sit alongside with a players preferred gesture. Managers are no different so let us be able to bash a few buttons for the Sam Allardyce Lasso, the Paolo Di Canio Knee Slide or the more comical Pep Guardiola Trouser-Split.
In today’s game managers express themselves on the touchline and it’s a shame that FIFA won’t add this.
